==First Episode== 1956. A Mascalucia, Sicily, the Fortebracci gathered around the elderly and authoritarian householder Rocco Fortebracci. Pasquale Fortebracci (Gerardo Amato), and decent man of sound principles, he tries to persuade his wife Ersilia (Virna Lisi), a dreamer and progressive, to go to the birthday of his father Rocco, with whom he is on good terms because it is a old-fashioned man.
